Welcome To Garjan Dobermans
We have recently moved to Roscommon MI.
We are striving to breed for Health, Disposition and Conformation.
The standard and guidelines are set by the American Kennel Club and the Doberman Pinscher club of America.
We have learned a lot and want to share with you and hope you enjoy all the information we have put here in one location..
I recommend going to the DPCA (Doberman Pinscher Club Of America) www.DPCA.org and the ADPEF (American Doberman Pinscher Educational Foundation) www.ADPEF.org websites they are on our link page as well, to get more information about Dobermans prior to making your purchase.
If I, as a breeder, did my job right, this will be a 10 to 15 year comitment on your part.
We Test for the following using DNA, cheek swabs using Vetgen for our lab, vWD, DCM 1 and DCM 2
We do OFA hips and CERF eyes and we are in the process of getting all of our Dobermans registered in the CHIC Program.
We have also entered in to a Diversity Program At U.C. Davis
We do not breed, White, (Z factor) King or Warlock Dobermans.
We do not condone or support the breeding of the "white"/albino Doberman as it is a genetic mutation.
All dogs over two years of age are DNA for vWD and DCM, OFA'd hips and thyroid and all are CERF tested as well prior to breeding
The bitch that is sired by our Levi, Whisper was placed and will not be bred due to her Holter test results in 2014 were 191 PVC's
